Monarch Casino Resort Spa is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor in Black Hawk, Colorado, to lead daily housekeeping operations across rooms and public areas within a premier casino resort. Job Description Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operation of the Housekeeping department, including Room Attendants, Inspectors, Housepersons, and support staff. This position is responsible for maintaining guest room and hotel cleanliness standards, supporting team productivity, coordinating daily assignments, communicating with other departments, and ensuring team members follow company, safety, and service standards. The Supervisor provides hands-on leadership, coaching, training, and follow-up while helping ensure the department operates efficiently in a busy casino resort environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support Room Attendants, Inspectors, Housepersons, and other Housekeeping team members during daily operations.
  • Monitor room assignments, productivity, room status, inspections, and completion of daily boards.
  • Inspect guest rooms and hotel areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, safety, and service standards are being met.
  • Coordinate room priorities, group arrivals, VIP rooms, early arrivals, departures, and other operational needs with Front Desk and hotel leadership.
  • Communicate regularly through email, radio, phone, and department pass-downs and respond to operational needs in a timely manner.
  • Use hotel systems including HMS, HotSOS, Workday, and Maintenance Connect to monitor rooms, communicate issues, manage timekeeping, and submit/follow up on work orders.
  • Create and adjust daily task sheets, assignments, projects, and staffing based on occupancy and business needs.
  • Coach and train team members on cleaning standards, productivity, Forbes/service standards, safety, PPE, chemicals, guest belongings, Lost & Found, and department procedures.
  • Address team member performance, attendance, conduct, and policy concerns, including completing coaching and disciplinary documentation when necessary.
  • Assist with guest complaints and service recovery involving Housekeeping and follow up to ensure concerns are resolved.
  • Monitor hallways, linen closets, equipment, supplies, guest floors, and other assigned areas for cleanliness, organization, maintenance, and safety concerns.
  • Communicate and follow up with Facilities, Front Desk, Security, Laundry, Public Area, and other departments as needed.
  • Monitor inventory and equipment and report shortages, damage, or replacement needs.
  • Support new-hire training and continued development of Room Attendants and Inspectors.
  • Complete required reports, documentation, inspections, emails, and end-of-shift pass-downs.
  • Help maintain consistent department procedures and ensure assigned projects are completed and followed up on.
  • Respond to changing occupancy, staffing, guest needs, and operational priorities while keeping the Housekeeping team organized and on track.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Housekeeping management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Ability to complete assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Availability to work weekends based on operational needs.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, up to eight hours per day; walk, sit, handle tools and objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required by assigned tasks; and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Team Members while performing inspection and training duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
