Job Responsibilities
- Ensure all housekeepers are trained and understand Natura's expectations.
- Enforce all Natura Destinations policies.
- Maintain open communication with Front Desk on changes throughout shifts.
- Assign rooms and prioritize rooms requesting early cleaning.
- Check inventory of cleaning carts and add necessary supplies; order housekeeping supplies as needed.
- Knock and announce self before entering room; return later if rooms are occupied.
- Remove soiled linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets; provide fresh replacements.
- Make beds neatly and stock towels, washcloths, and hand towels according to policies.
- Clean and disinfect bathroom and kitchenette or coffee-preparation areas per hotel policy.
- Wipe surfaces and clean mirrors in rooms.
- Vacuum floors and remove trash.
- Check and restock complimentary coffee, snack, and toiletry supplies according to hotel checklist and policy.
- Perform a final walkaround to ensure the room meets hotel standards.
- Check for new arrivals and prepare rooms accordingly.
- Keep facilities and common areas clean and well-maintained.
- Notify supervisor of room availability and report any suspicious activity to security.
- Launder soiled linens, which may include loading washers and dryers and folding sheets and towels as needed.
- Examine property for safety hazards; notify supervisor, front desk, or maintenance of needed repairs.
- Take found items to the designated lost and found area after guest checkout.
- Perform limited grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming lawns and hedges, and snow removal from sidewalks.
- Provide backup support for Housekeepers, Laundry, and Houseman roles.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Manage time efficiently to complete assigned rooms.
- Be friendly and approachable with guests.
- Follow and enforce Natura Destination policies.
- Communicate professionally.
- Ability to give and receive instructions in English.
- Be punctual and dependable.
- Work well without supervision, maintaining professionalism and treating all employees equally.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform repetitive movements using wrists, knees, and back.
- Manage basic maintenance and cleaning tasks.
- Maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with guests.
