Job summary

First Hospitality's Cambria Milwaukee Downtown hotel seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a productive team and uphold brand standards in a busy downtown setting.

You will direct housekeepers, inspect rooms, and support safety while driving guest satisfaction. Benefits start Day 1, with opportunities for development, and hotel discounts in Milwaukee and beyond.

Qualifications

• Must be able to inspect 50-80 rooms up to 5 or 6 ladies at once.
• Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
• Able to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, and pivot frequently
• Able to lift, lower, and maneuver up to 30 pounds; able to push/pull up to 150 pounds
• Experiences as a housekeeper or houseman preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and support to Housekeepers and Housemen, ensuring the Housekeeping Department is run in a smooth, efficient manner.
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department to maintain service and cleanliness standards.
• Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to ensure cleanliness and guest satisfaction
• Assist in developing and implementing innovative promotional and sales events to improve service.
• Promote a clean and safe working environment with emphasis on employee health and safety.
• Assist in training colleagues in proper safety techniques.
• Responsible for department orientation and training of new housekeepers and follow-up to meet standards.
• Engage in leadership to motivate team toward guest satisfaction.
• Resolve issues to promote department stability.
• Clean guest rooms when necessary
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management

The Housekeeping Supervisor supports training and development of housekeepers and housemen while promoting the cleanliness and productivity goals of the housekeeping department. Responsible for inspecting rooms and public spaces, ensuring availability and accessibility of necessary supplies, and supporting a safe and structured work environment, the Housekeeping Supervisor plays a critical role in overall employee and guest satisfaction.
