Job summary

Highgate Hotels' The Elser Hotel & Residences in Downtown Miami seeks a Housekeeping Coordinator to administer and coordinate housekeeping functions in assigned sections and support the Housekeeping Manager in their absence.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 2–3 years of hotel experience, with supervisory skills and strong communication. You will oversee daily tasks, assist training, and help ensure guest satisfaction and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of progressive hotel experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to stand during shift.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Inspect housekeeping performance and ensure standards are met.
• Oversee VIP room inspection in Manager's absence.
• Manage end-of-day floor close and cart restocking.
• Maintain daily assignment records and key control.
• Assist with training of housekeeping staff.
• May clean rooms as needed.
• Ensure completion of cleaning projects biannually.
• Aim for overall guest satisfaction.
