Job summary

Hotel Saint Vincent in New Orleans is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead daily housekeeping operations, ensure rooms and public areas meet the hotel's high standards, and collaborate with Rooms, Front Office, Engineering, and leadership to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate is a thoughtful, highly organized leader who coaches a diverse team, balances quality with productivity, and maintains discretion with guest and employee information.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of housekeeping leadership experience in a hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, inspections, linen and inventory controls, and labor management.
• Experience coaching and developing a diverse team in a fast-paced setting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to balance quality and guest needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clear direction.
• Experience with hotel property management, housekeeping scheduling, and inventory systems preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds; flexible availability.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily housekeeping operations, including morning assignments, room prioritization, inspections, public-area coverage, turndown as applicable, and end-of-day handoffs.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the hotel, identify needs before they become issues, and take ownership of room-readiness concerns through resolution.
• Monitor labor, productivity, linen, guest supplies, equipment, lost and found, and departmental expenses to protect quality, accuracy, and profitability.
• Manage the departmental budget and oversee purchasing and inventory levels based on occupancy forecasts and operational needs.
• Build thoughtful schedules and daily assignments that align staffing with occupancy, arrivals, departures, and business needs while remaining fair and predictable.
• Coach, mentor, and develop housekeeping team members to strengthen quality, productivity, consistency, and accountability.
• Ensure guestrooms, corridors, public spaces, offices, and back-of-house areas are consistently clean and presented to standards.
