Job summary

Courtyard New Haven at Yale is seeking a hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping team and ensure a clean, welcoming stay for guests. You will oversee daily operations, coach team members, and uphold high standards across guestrooms, public areas, laundry, and supplies.

This leadership role requires a passion for hospitality, the ability to lead by example, and a focus on the details that make every stay exceptional.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hotel housekeeping experience.
• Branded or luxury hotel experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, schedule, and motivate the housekeeping team.
• Oversee daily cleaning operations for guest rooms and public areas.
• Ensure Marriott brand standards and clean lines expectations are consistently met.
• Monitor room quality, productivity, supplies, and department performance.
• Work closely with Front Office and other departments to support a smooth guest experience.
• Address guest and team member concerns professionally and promptly.
• Maintain proper safety, chemical handling, and sanitation practices.

About the Role

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of cleaning products, proper storage, and safety procedures
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
