Job summary

Journey, a local care organization, seeks an experienced supervisor to lead the environmental services team in a skilled nursing setting. You will hire, train, and manage housekeeping and laundry staff, while developing cleaning systems to keep a safe, sanitary environment.

You will also oversee budgeting and equipment maintenance to ensure regulatory compliance and high quality outcomes. The role emphasizes leadership within the community, collaboration with care teams, and commitment to

Qualifications

• Associate degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• At least three years of supervisory experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility within environmental services.
• Proficient in mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, as well as compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Familiarity with infection control techniques.
• Knowledge of regulatory agencies, policies, codes, standards, and regulations relevant to environmental services.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Development: Hire, train, evaluate, and manage housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring adherence to performance standards and providing guidance to maximize effectiveness.
• Operational Oversight: Develop cleaning systems and conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe, sanitary environment; manage supply procurement, equipment maintenance, and departmental budgeting.
• Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations; participate in quality improvement programs and facility committees to enhance environmental services.
