Job summary

Journey, a community-focused employer, seeks a Hands-on Environmental Services Supervisor to lead housekeeping and laundry teams at our local facility in West Virginia. You will hire, train, and coach staff while upholding safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

You will oversee cleaning systems, inspections, procurement, and budgeting, ensuring a sanitary, compliant environment and a positive resident experience. Experience in skilled nursing facilities and infection control is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education/experience.
• At least 3 years supervisory experience in environmental services, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.
• Strong math skills including rates, ratios, percentages.
• Familiarity with infection control techniques.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for environmental services.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Development: Hire, train, evaluate, and manage housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring adherence to performance standards.
• Operational Oversight: Develop cleaning systems, conduct inspections, manage supply procurement, equipment maintenance, and budgeting.
• Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with health regulations; participate in quality programs and facility committees.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• At least three years of supervisory experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility within environmental services.
• Proficient in mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, as well as compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Familiarity with infection control techniques.
• Knowledge of regulatory agencies, policies, codes, standards, and regulations relevant to environmental services.

• Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations; participate in quality improvement programs and facility committees to enhance environmental services.
