Job summary

NHC HealthCare Anniston is seeking a dependable Housekeeping/Laundry team member to support environmental cleanliness and linen services for patients, residents, families, and visitors.

You will clean rooms and common areas, handle linens, follow infection control procedures, and report safety concerns. This role contributes to a clean, welcoming atmosphere and requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Dependable and able to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to follow housekeeping, laundry, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Previous housekeeping, laundry, or health care experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient and resident rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, and complete other routine housekeeping duties.
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and clothing.
• Maintain proper separation of clean and soiled laundry.
• Operate housekeeping and laundry equipment safely.
• Restock supplies and help maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Follow infection control, sanitation, safety, and NHC procedures.
• Report maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns to the appropriate leader.
