Job summary

NHC HealthCare Anniston is seeking a dependable Housekeeping/Laundry team member to support environmental cleanliness and linen services, helping create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for patients, residents, families, visitors, and partners.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient and resident rooms and common areas, dusting, mopping, collecting and washing linens, following infection control procedures, and reporting maintenance or safety concerns to leadership.

Qualifications

• Dependable, hardworking, able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Follow housekeeping and infection control procedures.
• Experience in housekeeping or healthcare is preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient and resident rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, and complete other routine housekeeping duties.
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and clothing.
• Maintain proper separation of clean and soiled laundry.
• Operate housekeeping and laundry equipment safely.
• Restock supplies and help maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Follow infection control, sanitation, safety, and NHC procedures.
• Report maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns to the appropriate leader.
