Job summary

NHC HealthCare Anniston is seeking a dependable Housekeeping/Laundry team member to support environmental cleanliness and linen services for patients, residents, families, visitors, and partners. The role contributes to a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment on site.

Responsibilities include cleaning spaces, handling linens, and following infection control and safety procedures. No prior experience required, but preferred, and physical requirements must be met.

Qualifications

• Dependable, hardworking, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow housekeeping, laundry, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Previous housekeeping, laundry, or health care experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient and resident rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, and complete other routine housekeeping duties.
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and clothing.
• Maintain proper separation of clean and soiled laundry.
• Operate housekeeping and laundry equipment safely.
• Restock supplies and help maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Follow infection control, sanitation, safety, and NHC procedures.
• Report maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns to the appropriate leader.
