Job summary

Salamander Middleburg is seeking a Full-Time Houseperson to join our Forbes 5-Star housekeeping team. The Houseperson will support room attendants and maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include cleaning, stocking linen, waste management, inventory monitoring, furniture moves, and handling special guest requests while adhering to health standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment and manage interruptions.

• General Cleaning: Perform cleaning tasks using standard hotel products to adhere to health standards.
• Stocking: Maintain linen closets to meet minimum par levels.
• Waste Management: Remove trash and dirty linen from cleaning carts and linen rooms.
• Cleanliness Maintenance: Monitor and clean trash from rooms as needed, moving items to designated pickup points.
• Supply Management: Replace vacuum bags and assist in restocking linen carts.
• Inventory Monitoring: Track consumption and order replacements for guest and cleaning supplies.
• Furniture Movement: Move furniture, supplies, and equipment as directed by the housekeeping supervisor.
• Special Requests: Handle unexpected spills and execute special guest requests as needed.
