Job summary

The DoubleTree by Hilton – Downtown South Bend is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily work of Room Attendants and House Attendants, inspect guestrooms, and ensure rooms are released to the Front Desk accurately and on time.

You will collaborate with Housekeeping Management, Front Desk, and Engineering to maintain room readiness, address maintenance concerns, and deliver an exceptional guest experience. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience strongly preferred.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of guestroom cleaning and inspection standards.
• Ability to lead, coach, and hold team members accountable professionally.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Flexible availability based on hotel occupancy and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Room Attendants and House Attendants throughout the shift.
• Assign daily room boards and work assignments based on occupancy and operational needs.
• Inspect guestrooms to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Identify deficiencies and coaching on necessary corrections.
• Re-inspect corrected rooms before releasing them as ready.
• Monitor room cleaning progress and help ensure rooms are available for arriving guests on time.
• Inspect VIP rooms, special requests, and priority guestrooms.
• Communicate room status and concerns with Front Desk.
• Assist with training and onboarding new team members.
• Coach employees on procedures, productivity, and safety.
• Help close housekeeping floors and ensure carts are stocked.
• Ensure documentation is completed accurately and reports updated.
