Job summary

New England Baptist Hospital is seeking a part-time Environmental Services staff to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. Shifts are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, 16 hours per week, with weekend coverage.

You will perform daily room cleaning, restrooms, offices, lobbies, floors, and assist in training new personnel. High school diploma preferred; 0-1 year experience; influenza vaccination required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred.
• 0-1 year of work experience is required.
• Vaccination against influenza (flu) is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient rooms daily according to hospital standards.
• Disinfects surfaces, restrooms, and floors using seven step procedures.
• Cleans patient discharges and precaution rooms per Infection Control policies.
• Cleans offices, conference rooms, entrances, lobbies, and waiting areas.
• Maintains floors, cleans, strips, refinish, and buffs as needed.
• Operates floor machines and assists in training new personnel.

This includes proper disinfection of all surfaces, restrooms, and floors. Cleans patient discharges. Cleans precaution rooms according to Infection Control policies using proper disinfectants.* Cleans all restrooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.* Cleans offices and conference rooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.* Cleans entrances, lobbies, and waiting areas daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.
