Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a housekeeping professional to maintain a clean, safe environment throughout the hospital, including patient rooms, restrooms, offices and lobbies.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, discharges, floors, and various areas; rotating weekends and holidays are required. High School Graduate preferred with 0-1 year of experience; influenza vaccination is required.

Performs housekeeping responsibilities in order to maintain a clean, safe environment throughout the hospital.

Rotating weekends and holidays required.

Job Description: ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

• Cleans patient rooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.
• Cleans patient discharges.
• Cleans precaution rooms according to Infection Control policies using proper disinfectants.
• Cleans all restrooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.
• Cleans offices and conference rooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.
• Cleans entrances, lobbies, and waiting areas daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.
• Vacuums carpers according to department procedures.
• Cleans utility rooms and nourishment stations according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.
• Cleans corridors and ancillary areas according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.
• Cleans, strips, refinishes, spray buffs, shampoos, and maintains all floors.
• Operates automatic floor machine, buffing machine, shampooing machine and vacuums.
• Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of equipment.
• Assist in training new personnel.

Education

High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred.

Minimum Experience

0-1 year(s) of work experience is required.

Pay Range: $17.00 - $22.88 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
