Job summary

Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course is seeking a housekeeping team member to maintain cleanliness across the casino floor, public areas, offices, and restrooms.

You will operate cleaning equipment, handle waste, and deliver friendly, efficient service while complying with safety rules in a fast‑paced entertainment environment.

Experience in housekeeping is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a valid driver's license may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Must present a well-groomed appearance.
• Must be able to use and control various mechanical equipment.
• Operating shampooing and sweeping equipment.
• Performing duties with a sense of urgency.
• Working as a team with other employees.
• Transporting all supplies to and from work areas.
• Operating the following equipment to include: vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mop and broom.
• Other duties, as needed

Responsibilities

• Clean VLT machines, bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows, restaurants, counters, furniture, and any other decorative objects in the casino or common areas.
• Vacuuming carpet, sweeping and mopping tile floors, cleaning spills as they occur.
• Handling any bio hazardous materials when necessary.
• Removing trash from containers and disposing into dumpsters.
• Providing exceptional Customer Service to all guests.

WE LOVE OUR WORK.

• Cleaning VLT machines, in between machines, VLT bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows, restaurants, counter tops, furniture, and any other decorative objects in the casino or common areas.
• Vacuuming carpet, sweeps and mops tile floors, cleans any spills that occur.

• Removing trash from the trash container and places into the dumpsters.
• Providing exceptional Customer Service to all guests.

Education and/or Experience:

Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred; High School diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations :

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
