Job summary

Hollywood Gaming Mahoning Valley Race Course in Youngstown, OH is seeking a housekeeping/janitorial teammate to maintain clean facilities across the casino, dining areas, and public spaces.

You will vacuum, mop, sanitize, remove trash, and assist guests with a smile as part of a collaborative team. Prior janitorial experience and ability to read English are preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required. The role is full-time and on-site with competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Clean VLT machines, bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, and furniture.

• Handle biohazard materials when applicable and dispose of trash properly.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests and team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

WE LOVE OUR WORK.

• Cleaning VLT machines, in between machines, VLT bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows, restaurants, counter tops, furniture, and any other decorative objects in the casino or common areas.
• Vacuuming carpet, sweeps and mops tile floors, cleans any spills that occur.
• Cleaning any bio hazardous materials when it occurs.
• Removing trash from the trash container and places into the dumpsters.
• Providing exceptional Customer Service to all guests.

Education and/or Experience:

Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred; High School diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Driver’s License:

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
