Walnut Creek Care Community is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to maintain clean and safe living environments for residents. You will perform daily cleaning tasks, disinfect surfaces, and ensure common areas are well kept.

You will work with a team to support residents, families, and staff, while maintaining confidentiality and a professional demeanor in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping tasks: vacuum, mop, dust, clean bathrooms, trash.
• Clean resident rooms, common areas, and hallways as assigned.
• Disinfect and sanitize surfaces, equipment, and furniture.
• Empty ashtrays and clean walls, ceilings, and floors as needed.
• Report hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Participate in infection control practices and universal precautions.
• Keep maintenance areas clean and manage supplies efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff.
• Collaborate effectively with teammates and support colleagues.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned, including but not limited to: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and taking out the trash
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining resident rooms, common areas, and corridors
• Disinfect and sanitize surfaces, equipment, and furniture to maintain a clean and healthy environment
• Empties ashtrays daily and cleans walls, ceilings, and floors as needed
• Reports any hazardous conditions or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor
• Participates in infection control and universal precautions practices
• Maintains the appearance of maintenance work areas and minimizes waste of supplies
• Provides exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff
• Demonstrates ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA requirements
