Job summary

Lima Care Community is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming resident areas. You will perform daily housekeeping tasks and support a caring team focused on Smarter. Long-Term. Care.

Responsibilities include vacuuming, dusting, cleaning rooms and common areas, disinfecting surfaces, and following HIPAA requirements while delivering excellent service to residents and staff.

Qualifications

• English language reading/writing/speaking required.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and minimize supply waste.
• Follow infection control and HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned, including but not limited to: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and taking out the trash

• Assist with cleaning and maintaining resident rooms, common areas, and corridors

• Disinfect and sanitize surfaces, equipment, and furniture to maintain a clean and healthy environment

• Empties ashtrays daily and cleans walls, ceilings, and floors as needed

• Reports any hazardous conditions or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor

• Participates in infection control and universal precautions practices

• Maintains the appearance of maintenance work areas and minimizes waste of supplies

• Provides exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff

• Demonstrates ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues

• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Ability to work independently and make independent decisions

• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, and the general public

• Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas

• Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, and seek out new methods and principles to incorporate into existing maintenance practices

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times
