Job summary

Heatherdowns Care Center in Toledo, OH seeks a Housekeeping Aide to maintain clean, safe resident spaces and help with daily operations.

You will perform housekeeping tasks, assist with resident rooms and common areas, ensure infection control, and provide courteous service to residents, families, and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work independently and make independent decisions.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, and the public.
• Ability to maintain supplies, equipment, and work areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, trash removal.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining resident rooms, common areas, and corridors.
• Disinfect and sanitize surfaces, equipment, and furniture.
• Empties ashtrays daily and cleans walls, ceilings, and floors as needed.
• Reports hazardous conditions or equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Participates in infection control and universal precautions practices.
• Maintains appearance of maintenance work areas and minimizes waste of supplies.
• Provides exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff.
• Demonstrates ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA requirements.
