Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to support residents and staff by maintaining clean and safe living spaces. You will perform daily housekeeping tasks, assist with room and area cleaning, and help uphold infection control practices in a care environment.

Ideal candidates show strong English communication, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting while ensuring confidentiality and respectful interactions with residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, and the general public.
• Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and maintenance of work areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, taking out the trash.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining resident rooms, common areas, and corridors.
• Disinfect and sanitize surfaces, equipment, and furniture to maintain a clean environment.
• Empties ashtrays daily and cleans walls, ceilings, and floors as needed.
• Report hazardous conditions or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Participate in infection control and universal precautions practices.
• Maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas and minimize waste of supplies.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff.
• Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements.
