Onyx of Bernice is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to perform daily housekeeping tasks in a post-acute care setting. The role requires following established schedules and coordinating cleaning with nursing services to support clean, safe resident living areas.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
• Skilled Nursing Facility Experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Follow work/cleaning schedules as closely as practical.
• Coordinate housekeeping services with nursing in resident living and/or residential areas.
• Clean, sanitize, and polish fixtures, surfaces, and bathroom fittings.
• Clean floors: sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting.
• Discard waste into proper containers and replace liners.
• Protect residents' health information and report suspected violations.
• Follow safety precautions with equipment and supplies.
• Adjust to shift changes to meet facility needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

The primary purpose of the Housekeeper is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department

Responsibilities

• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or residential areas
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, bathroom fixtures etc.
• Clean floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting etc.
• Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner
• Agree not to disclose resident's protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies
• Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet Facility needs

Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances. Performs other work duties as assigned.
