Job summary

The Pearl of St. Charles in Illinois is seeking a Housekeeper to perform day-to-day housekeeping duties in a post-acute care environment. You will support resident areas, follow schedules, and coordinate with nursing services.

Competitive wages and comprehensive benefits are offered, with full-time shifts available (11AM–7PM, 7AM–3PM, and every other weekend 11AM–7PM). Prior SNF experience is a plus; English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to follow written and oral cleaning instructions.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or residential areas.
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish fixtures and surfaces.
• Clean floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting.
• Discard waste and reline trash receptacles.
• Protect resident privacy and report any disclosures to the Administrator.
• Follow safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.

Description:

The primary purpose of the Housekeeper is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department

Shift Details:

1. Full Time - 11AM - 7PM
2. Full Time - 7AM - 3PM
3. Every Other Weekend - 11AM - 7PM

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or residential areas
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, bathroom fixtures etc.
• Clean floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting etc.
• Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner
• Agree not to disclose resident’s protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
• Skilled Nursing Facility Expereince (Preferred)
