Alois Alzheimer’s Care Center in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a dependable Housekeeping Aide to support a clean and healthy living environment for residents. You will perform routine cleaning, sanitization, and waste management while upholding safety and confidentiality standards.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with residents, families, and staff in a respectful, compassionate manner are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work independently and make independent decisions.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, staff, and the general public.
• Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas.
• Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, and seek out new methods and principles to incorporate into existing maintenance practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times.
• HIPAA confidentiality awareness and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathrooms, and trash.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining resident rooms, common areas, and corridors.
• Disinfect and sanitize surfaces, equipment, and furniture to maintain a clean environment.
• Empty ashtrays daily and clean walls, ceilings, and floors as needed.
• Report hazardous conditions or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Participate in infection control and universal precautions practices.
• Maintain appearance of maintenance work areas and minimize waste of supplies.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff.
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements.
