A leading government agency is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to join their team. This role involves essential janitorial duties, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation within a VA Medical Center. Candidates must demonstrate relevant experience and meet specific requirements, including U.S. citizenship and a background check. The position requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
This position is located within the Environmental Management Services Division of a VA Medical Center. It reports directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor or designee. The role involves performing janitorial and custodial services such as textile distribution, inventory management, sanitizing and disinfecting, waste removal, cleaning blinds, washing windows and walls, discharge cleaning, sweeping, scrubbing, extracting, polishing floors, and applying floor finishes.
The Environmental Services (EVS) Technician's primary duties include, but are not limited to, the tasks listed above.

Experience: While specific training and experience length are not mandated, applicants must demonstrate evidence of training or experience demonstrating their ability to perform the duties of this role. This evidence should be detailed in your resume, including job titles, duties, start and end dates, and hours worked per week. Applicants will be evaluated according to the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards.
