Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services in Chicago, IL is seeking a friendly Housekeeper to provide campus cleaning and minor maintenance, supporting residents and staff while keeping facilities in good condition. You will follow established schedules and infection control guidelines in various areas of the campus.

The ideal candidate has some high school education, housekeeping or general maintenance experience, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Some high school education or equivalent.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following schedule and infection control guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance including light bulbs, plunging toilets and changing batteries.
• Follow established schedule and perform cleaning tasks inside and outside.
• Maintain floors (sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, etc.) as scheduled.
• Assist in cleaning emergency spills and move furniture as needed.
• Participate in campus linen program and bed-making in guest rooms or residences.
• Receive campus supplies and assist with deliveries and snow/ice salting as needed.
