Job summary

Diablo Valley Post Acute is seeking a reliable Part-Time Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. You will help maintain a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms and common areas, following infection prevention procedures, and assisting with laundry as needed. The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and compassionate, respectful service within a care-focused facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in housekeeping in healthcare settings preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation, and infection control is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to perform physical duties, including standing, bending, lifting, and walking.
• Dependable, hardworking, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, dining areas, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and furnishings.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners throughout the facility.
• Restock housekeeping supplies and maintain organized storage areas.
• Follow infection prevention, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, and safety concerns promptly.
• Assist with linen distribution and laundry duties as needed.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, families, visitors, and team members.
• Complete special cleaning projects and other housekeeping duties as assigned.

Position Responsibilities

As a valued member of our Environmental Services team, you will:
