Job summary

Diablo Valley Post Acute is seeking a reliable, hardworking Part-Time Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. You’ll help create a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff, with duties spanning rooms, common areas, and facilities.

Responsibilities include housekeeping tasks, infection prevention practices, and collaboration with team members to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or hospitality is preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning, sanitation, and infection control practices is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to perform physical duties such as standing, bending, lifting, and walking.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, dining areas, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and furnishings.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners throughout the facility.
• Restock housekeeping supplies and maintain organized storage areas.
• Follow infection prevention, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, and safety concerns promptly.
• Assist with linen distribution and laundry duties as needed.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, families, visitors, and team members.
• Complete special cleaning projects and other housekeeping duties as assigned.
