Job summary

Diablo Valley Post Acute is seeking a reliable Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team in California. This full-time role follows a 4-on/2-off schedule with a pay rate of $18.54 per hour. You will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning spaces, following sanitation protocols, and assisting with laundry as needed. Prior healthcare or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in housekeeping in healthcare, skilled nursing, or related settings preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, dining areas, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and furnishings.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners throughout the facility.
• Restock housekeeping supplies and maintain organized storage areas.
• Follow all infection prevention, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, and safety concerns promptly.
• Assist with linen distribution and laundry duties as needed.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, families, visitors, and fellow team members.
• Complete special cleaning projects and additional housekeeping duties as assigned.

Position Responsibilities

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to perform physical duties including standing, bending, lifting, and walking throughout the shift
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to delivering quality work
