Job summary

Avera Gettysburg is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff. This role supports daily cleaning tasks across patient rooms, lounges, offices, and common areas, with varied shifts including some weekends and holidays.

You will stock supplies, manage cleaning carts, and work closely with other team members to deliver compassionate care. High school diploma or GED required; PTO from day one, retirement matching, and career

Pay Range: The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependent upon experience. $18.00 - $22.00

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.


• Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.


• Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.


• Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.


• Maintain good customer relations at all times by demonstrating a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with employees, all departments, coworkers and other pertinent staff.


• Responsible for managing workload and delegating tasks as needed to other staff members.


• Maintain competency and serve as a Resource to staff members as needed.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience

High School or GED Equivalent Related experience and/or training.
