Job summary

Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in Nebraska is seeking an Environmental Services Technician for the evening shift to maintain a clean, safe environment in patient rooms, offices, lobbies and hallways.

Responsibilities include dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash removal and stocking supplies on cleaning carts, while delivering respectful service to patients, visitors and staff. A High School diploma or GED and 1–3 months related experience are preferred, with PTO on day one and a retirement match up

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the hours specified and perform each essential job function satisfactorily.
• Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and communicate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working areas including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchens, elevators and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities such as dusting, washing, mopping, vacuuming and trash removal.
• Keeps cleaning carts stocked with supplies and maintains stock of linens as required.
• Maintains good customer relations with patients, families and staff.
• Upholds safety standards and adheres to applicable regulations and guidelines.

$17.50 - $21.50. The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependent upon experience.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas which may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.

What you will do

Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.

Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.

Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.

Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.

Maintain good customer relations at all times.

May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

• High School or GED Equivalent
• One to three months related experience
