Job summary

Pacific Coast Manor in Capitola, CA is seeking a Housekeeper/Janitor. We’re willing to train and welcome new grads to join our team.

You will perform day-to-day housekeeping to keep the facility clean, safe, and comfortable for patients and visitors, with opportunities to grow and learn in a supportive healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Operate standard housekeeping equipment (vacuum, mops, brooms, etc.)
• Strong customer service and clear communication style
• Desire to keep workplace clean and safe

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks as directed by supervisor, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms, and trash collection
• Handle chemical/cleaning products safely and stock housekeeping carts
• Clean assigned areas to satisfactory standards within designated timelines
• Create/follow daily job duties lists in collaboration with supervisor and other housekeepers, logging serviced rooms/areas
• Maintain all equipment in good working condition and report any repairs
• Report equipment/product needs and policy violations as required
• Address guest complaints/requests and inform others to ensure patient and guest satisfaction

Performs the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department to assure our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner for all patients and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Performs various cleaning assignments as directed by supervisor. Includes but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, etc.
• Abides by safe and proper handling of all chemical/cleaning products and stocking of housekeeping carts
• Cleans and tidies all assigned areas to satisfactory standards within designated timelines
• Creates/follows daily job duties lists in collaboration with supervisor and other housekeepers, maintaining a record all serviced rooms/areas
• Maintains all equipment in good working condition, reporting any needs for repairs
• Reports equipment/product needs, policy violations and/or patient change in conditions
• Handles reasonable guests’ complaints/requests and informs others when required to ensure patient and guest satisfaction
