Job summary

Gilroy Healthcare Center is seeking a Housekeeper/Janitor. We’re willing to train and welcome new grads. The role performs day-to-day housekeeping to keep our facility clean, safe, and comfortable for patients and visitors.

Responsibilities include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, and stocking carts. You’ll maintain equipment, follow safety procedures for cleaning products, and support the team to meet daily schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Operate standard housekeeping equipment (vacuum, mop, broom, etc.).
• Provide outstanding customer service with kind communication.
• Commitment to keeping the workplace clean and safe.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Handle safe use of chemicals and stock housekeeping carts.
• Clean and tidy assigned areas to standard within timelines.
• Create daily duties lists with supervisor and track serviced areas.
• Maintain and report equipment needs for repairs.
• Report product needs, policy violations, and patient changes.
• Address guest requests and ensure patient/guest satisfaction.

Position Summary:

Performs the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department to assure our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner for all patients and visitors.

Qualifications:

• operate standard housekeeping equipment (vacuum, mops, brooms, etc.)
• Outstanding customer service and a kind communication style
• Desire to keep workplace clean and safe

Responsibilities:

• Performs various cleaning assignments as directed by supervisor. Includes but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, etc.
• Abides by safe and proper handling of all chemical/cleaning products and stocking of housekeeping carts
• Cleans and tidies all assigned areas to satisfactory standards within designated timelines
• Creates/follows daily job duties lists in collaboration with supervisor and other housekeepers, maintaining a record all serviced rooms/areas
• Maintains all equipment in good working condition, reporting any needs for repairs
• Reports equipment/product needs, policy violations and/or patient change in conditions
• Handles reasonable guests' complaints/requests and informs others when required to ensure patient and guest satisfaction
