Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Hospital Environmental Services worker to thoroughly clean, sanitize, and dispose of waste to prevent disease spread. You will operate cleaning equipment and maintain sanitary patient and non-patient areas throughout Highland Avenue facilities.

The role requires adherence to infection control guidelines with routine shifts, standing/walking duties, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs with assistive devices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling.
• Working knowledge of cleaning tools like vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
• 0-1 year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties per schedules and infection control guidelines.
• Dispose of waste streams following procedures.
• Clean and service assigned areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies within departments.
• Operate floor machines and buffers as required.
• Attend minimum of eight unit/department meetings annually.
