Job summary

Chelsea Retirement Community in Chelsea, MI seeks a dedicated Housekeeper for full‑time first shift. You will join the EVS Department to keep residents' rooms, recreational areas, offices, and hallways spotless, contributing to a warm, safe, and comfortable environment.

Schedule is 40 hours weekly, Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm with every 4th weekend rotation; $16.97–$20.69 per hour plus shift premiums. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plan, paid time off, and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience as a housekeeper or cleaner in a long-term care facility or medical environment, required.
• Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and floors.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and decorative items.
• Vacuum and mop floors, carpets, and rugs.
• Cleans residents rooms, recreational areas, offices, and hallways as assigned.
• Change bed linens and make beds according to established standards.
• Empty trash containers and dispose of waste in designated areas.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen surfaces, appliances, and utensils.
• Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products.
• Organize and maintain storage areas for cleaning supplies and equipment.
