Job summary

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania is seeking a Housekeeper for a full-time day shift (7am - 3pm) with no weekends. Starting pay is $15/hr, based on experience, with training provided for success in the role and future growth opportunities within our mission-driven organization.

You will perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe, healthy environment, support residents, and assist with duties across campus including renovations, waste disposal, and winter operations.

Qualifications

• A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
• Willingness to receive on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, healthy, and safe environment by ensuring all housekeeping standards are met while performing all assigned duties (dusting, disinfecting high-touch points, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping).
• Maintains routine cleaning schedule for resident apartments, cottages, common spaces, service areas, offices and restrooms.
• Reports any environmental situations that could threaten resident or staff safety on first notice.
• Performs cleaning of renovated accommodations and prepares them for new residency after renovation work is completed.
• Demonstrates safe use of cleaning agents per Masonic Village procedures in Health Care Center and Personal Care areas.
• Assists with cleaning of resident rooms upon vacancy and transfers; helps residents with packing, unpacking, storing, and moving belongings; removes belongings and trash from vacated units; reports condition of vacated units.
• Monitors and disposes of household waste and regulated medical waste per regulations.
• Assists with winter campus snow operations by shoveling and salting as needed, including possible off-hours.
• Keeps work areas and vehicles orderly and clean; performs tasks safely; cares for tools and supplies.
• Completes CMMS work orders and documents work; generates additional work orders and records time for cost distribution and payroll.

As a Housekeeper you will carry out our Mission of Love by providing the best quality environmental housekeeping service, through continuous training, to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment.

Our Housekeeper Is Responsible For The Following

• Maintains a clean, healthy, and safe environment by insuring all housekeeping standards are met while performing all assigned housekeeping duties. Duties include dusting, disinfecting high touch points, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
• Maintains a routine schedule for cleaning assigned resident apartments and cottages, indoor and outdoor common space, employee service areas, offices and public restrooms.
• Reports upon first notice any environmental situation which could pose a threat to the safety or well-being of residents and staff.
• Perform specified, detail cleaning of renovated accommodations, preparing for new residency as renovation process are completed.
• Display safe and effective use of cleaning agents to accomplish assigned tasks in accordance with the standards established by Masonic Village as it applies to housekeeping procedures in the Health Care Center and Personal Care.
• Assists with cleaning of resident rooms upon vacancy and transfers. Assists residents with packing, unpacking, storing, and moving personal belongings. Removes all personal belongings and trash from vacated units. Inspects condition of vacated units and reports findings to the Environmental Services Supervisor.
• Monitors and disposes of household waste and regulated medical waste in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assists with snow operations on campus by shoveling and salting during winter weather conditions including the possibility of off hours call-in.
• Maintains work areas and vehicles in an orderly and clean manner, maintaining a safe work place. Performs tasks in a safe manner. Insures the proper care and use of tools, equipment and supplies.
• Completes computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) generated work orders and provides clear documentation of work as required. Generates work orders for additional work or tasks identified in the field and completes or submits them as appropriate. Maintains an accurate record of time for cost distribution and payroll.

Our Housekeeper Should Meet The Following Qualifications
