Job summary

Woodleigh Chase by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for our gated retirement community in Fairfax, Virginia. The role involves cleaning resident homes and public areas, with no travel required.

Starting pay is $18 to $19.50 per hour, paid bi-weekly, and the schedule runs Tuesday to Saturday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. We offer comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience cleaning in residential or commercial settings is ideal.
  • Ability to operate carpet care and hard floor equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to safely operate housekeeping vehicles.
  • Professional and responsive interactions with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Clean resident homes and public areas within the community.
  • Maintain cleanliness using specialized equipment.
  • Clean bathrooms, vanities, mirrors, sinks, and fixtures.
  • Vacuum and dust lobbies, living rooms, and common areas.
  • Vacuum classrooms and wipe boards and surfaces.
  • Collect, bag, and dispose of trash; replace liners.
  • Care for carpeting with extraction, drying, and vacuuming.

Compensation

Starting at $18 - Max $19.50, based on experience. Paid Bi-Weekly!

Schedule

Tuesdays - Saturday from 7:00am - 3:30pm

What you will make an impact

Cleaning resident's homes in Independent Living or Resident Rooms in Nursing Home Maintaining cleanliness of the Community through the use of specialized equipment. Cleaning public bathrooms, including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories, fixtures Cleaning lobbies/living rooms including vacuuming, high and low dusting, de-cluttering, and removing trash, spot clean walls/windows/switches, baseboards, pictures, lights, HVAC vents. Cleaning classrooms, including dusting, vacuuming, white/chalkboards, tables/chairs Assisting with the collection, bagging, and disposal of trash, as well as replacing trashcan liners Maintaining carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming.

What you will need

Previous experience cleaning in a residential or commercial setting is ideal Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member Ability to safely operate Housekeeping vehicles Ability to demonstrate professional and responsive interactions with residents and their family members, staff, vendors, and each other Please note that specific state regulations and requirements may be applicable.
