Job summary

Woodleigh Chase by Erickson Senior Living in Fairfax, Virginia is hiring a Housekeeping Utility Worker to clean community areas, set up rooms for events, and remove trash. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 10am–6:30pm. Compensation starts at $19–$20.50 per hour, based on experience, with bi-weekly pay.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques is preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment and floor care equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.
  • May be required to maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of the community through the operation of specialized equipment.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste.
  • Utilize work orders to ensure proper room/furniture setups.
  • Assist with movement and delivery of heavy objects/packages.
  • Remove trash including, refuse and recycling.
  • Maintain hard floor surfaces and carpeted areas with cleaning techniques.

Join our team as a Housekeeping Utility Worker, responsible for cleaning building areas, floors, and surfaces, setting up rooms for events, and removing trash. No travel required. Be part of a dedicated team committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.


Compensation: Starting at $19 - Max $20.50, Based on experience. Paid Bi-Weekly!


Schedule: Monday - Friday from 10am - 6:30pm

How you will make an impact



  • Maintain cleanliness of the community through the operation of specialized equipment

  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste

  • Utilize work orders to ensure proper room/furniture setups

  • Assist with movement and delivery of heavy objects/packages

  • Remove trash including, refuse and recycling

  • Maintain hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, and waxing as well as carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming


What you will need



  • Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques is preferred

  • Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment, and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the community

  • Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member

  • May be required to maintain a valid driver’s license as a condition of employment.

  • Must have a history of safe driving as noted through a Motor Vehicle Record check, if driving is required
