Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for Woodleigh Chase, a continuing care community in Fairfax, Virginia. Weekday schedule runs Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with competitive starting pay and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include cleaning resident homes, lobbies, classrooms, and public areas using specialized equipment, while delivering friendly, respectful service to residents and their families. No travel is required within the community.

Qualifications

• Previous experience cleaning in a residential or commercial setting.
• Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident homes in Independent Living or Nursing Home areas.
• Maintain community cleanliness with specialized equipment.
• Clean public bathrooms, counters, mirrors, sinks, toilets and fixtures.
• Vacuum and dust lobbies and living rooms; remove trash and spot-clean walls.
• Clean classrooms and common areas; dusting and furniture care.
• Assist with trash collection, bagging and disposal, and liner replacement.

Job description

Location: Woodleigh Chase by Erickson Senior Living

Are you interested in stable hours and enjoy cleaning? Join our team as a Housekeeper for our gated retirement community. All of our clients are located within our community, so no travel is involved!

Compensation: Starting at $18 - Max $19.50, based on experience. Paid Bi-Weekly!

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday from 7:00am - 3:30pm

How you will make an impact

• Cleaning resident’s homes in Independent Living or Resident Rooms in Nursing Home
• Maintaining cleanliness of the Community through the use of specialized equipment.
• Cleaning public bathrooms, including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories, fixtures
• Cleaning lobbies/living rooms including vacuuming, high and low dusting, de-cluttering, and removing trash, spot clean walls/windows/switches, baseboards, pictures, lights, HVAC vents.
• Cleaning classrooms, including dusting, vacuuming, white/chalkboards, tables/chairs
• Assisting with the collection, bagging, and disposal of trash, as well as replacing trashcan liners
• Maintaining carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming.

What you will need

• Previous experience cleaning in a residential or commercial setting is ideal
• Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
• Ability to safely operate Housekeeping vehicles
• Ability to demonstrate professional and responsive interactions with residents and their family members, staff, vendors, and each other
