Job summary

Asbury Solomons, a part of Asbury Communities, Inc., seeks a dedicated housekeeping aide to support resident spaces and maintain a clean, safe environment. You will assist with setup and breakdown of spaces, perform housekeeping in resident apartments and common areas, and ensure sanitation and safety throughout daily duties.

This full-time role offers a 7:00am to 3:30pm shift, every other weekend and holiday rotation, and a pay of $17 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods and work on feet throughout the shift.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift objects; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Some prior housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred.
• Must be able to follow schedules and maintain safe, sanitary environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and breakdown of event spaces according to room layouts and event requirements.
• Provide housekeeping services in resident apartments, bathrooms, common areas, and other areas as directed.
• Clean flooring and carpets as directed.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, and stains using cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping with nursing services during routine cleaning in resident areas.
• Perform isolation cleaning procedures following infection control procedures.

Schedule & Compensation

• Full time, 40 hours weekly
• Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
• Every other weekend & every other holiday rotation required
• $17.00/hour.

Job Description

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including arranging and moving tables, chairs, and other furnishings according to room layouts and event requirements.
• Provides housekeeping services in resident apartments, bathrooms, common areas and other areas as directed.
• Cleans flooring and carpets as directed.
• Removes dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
• Ensures that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times.
• Coordinates daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
• Performs isolation cleaning procedures in accordance with established infection control procedures. Discards infectious wastes into appropriate containers.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work on feet throughout the work day, walking and bending.
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and lift objects repeatedly.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred.
