Job summary

Bedford Care Center is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to perform daily duties inside and outside the facility under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor. The role includes cleaning floors, bathrooms, and common areas and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications include reading/writing to understand policies, prior housekeeping in long-term care preferred, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and passing required background checks.

Qualifications

• Must read and write at a level to understand Company Policies and Regulations.
• Prefer previous Housekeeping experience in a long-term care facility.
• Must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust mop, damp/wet mop floors in hallways, offices and common areas daily.
• Clean soiled areas, empties trash cans, replaces can liners, cleans bathrooms, sinks, toilets and other areas.
• Keeps equipment and work areas clean, safe organized and keeps equipment and supplies properly stored.
• Communicates courteously with staff in other Departments to adequately meet the needs of the Residents.
