Job summary

Aegis Sciences Corporation is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper in Nashville, TN to maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly work environment. The role may involve exposure to blood and other bodily fluids and requires adherence to OSHA Blood-Borne Pathogen standards.

Schedule is 6:30am–2:00pm, Monday–Friday, with one rotating weekend per month. Responsibilities include cleaning offices, hallways, restrooms, laboratories, and common areas; operating vacuums, polishers, and buffers; handling waste;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, hallways, lobbies, break areas, restrooms, and laboratory areas
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, polishers, and buffers
• Clean rugs, carpets, furniture, and draperies with a vacuum
• Dust furniture, light fixtures, and window sills
• Maintain sanitary facility via washing and replacement of equipment
• Dispose of trash and disposable materials
• Clean wash basins, mirrors, and toilets
• Report needed repairs to Facilities Manager
• Follow safety guidelines in housekeeping
• Participate in process improvements and controls
• Support team to achieve department and company goals
• Provide leadership through example and sharing skills
• Follow safety guidelines and report safety concerns
• Other duties as required

The Housekeeper will maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly work environment. He or she may be required to perform tasks which involve exposure to blood and/or other bodily fluids and must follow the required handling procedures in accordance with the OSHA Blood-Borne Pathogen Standard.

Work Schedule: 6:30am - 2pm, Monday - Friday; will rotate one Saturday or Sunday, once per month

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Clean offices, hallways, lobbies, break areas, restrooms, and laboratory areas
• Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment including but not limited to: vacuums, polishers, and buffers
• Clean rugs, carpets, furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner
• Dust furniture, light fixtures, and window sills, among other items as needed
• Maintain a sanitary facility through washing, cleaning and replacement of equipment as necessary
• Dispose of trash, waste, and other disposable materials as needed
• Clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, etc.
• Report any needed repairs immediately to the Facilities Manager
• Use safety precautions in all housekeeping services
• Participate in process improvements, including process definition, measurement analysis, and implementation of controls
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
• Follow all safety guidelines and report any safety concerns to supervisor
• Other duties as required and assigned

A Successful Candidate Must Possess:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred

Minimum Physical Requirement

The following demands are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
