Responsibilities

• Sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas to prevent the spread of germs and maintain health safety protocols.
• Manage waste collection and disposal in compliance with environmental and community guidelines.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the management team promptly.
• Attend scheduled in-services and meetings.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments to ensure uninterrupted service.

The successful candidate will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, and managing waste disposal, while adhering to health and safety regulations. Attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential to identify and address maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly. Ultimately, this role supports the well-being and quality of life of residents by fostering a pleasant and orderly living environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial services preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry objects in excess of 50 pounds
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and ability to follow safety instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.

• Experience working in senior living or residential community environments.

• Informs the Housekeeping Supervisor or Director of any problems or concerns related to the department.
• Works in clean, well-lighted and well-ventilated commons building, laundry facilities and residential units. May work in cramped quarters, climbing, stooping, kneeling, bending, pushing and reaching, inside and outside of buildings and equipment in various weather conditions

• May be exposed to outside elements when traveling between main building and garden villas in golf carts or another vehicle. Work environment involves slight physical risks that includes exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., that require following basic safety precautions (wearing safety glasses, rubber gloves, back belts, etc.). While in-service training regarding the protection from communicable disease will be provided, there will continue to be risk of contracting some type of disease or illness. To the extent the employee complies with precautionary measures this risk is reduced
