Job summary

Bedford Care Center of Mendenhall in Mississippi is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to perform daily housekeeping inside and outside the facility under supervision. You will clean hallways, offices, bathrooms, and common areas to maintain a safe, sanitary environment for residents.

The role requires reading and writing skills to understand policies, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to pass drug screens and a background check.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write at a level necessary to understand Company Policies, applicable Laws and Regulations regarding job duties.
• prefer previous Housekeeping experience in a long-term care Facility
• must be in good physical condition and able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, dust mops, damp/wet mops floors in hallways, offices and common areas daily
• Cleans soiled areas, empties trash cans, replaces can liners, cleans bathrooms, sinks, toilets and other areas
• Keeps equipment and work areas clean, safe organized and keeps equipment and supplies properly stored
• Communicates courteously with staff in other Departments to adequately meet the needs of the Residents
