Job Summary:

Provides a clean, orderly, and safe living environment throughout the facility.

Essential Functions:
  1. Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential.
  2. Complies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures, maintaining standards and practices.
  3. Responsible for proper operation and cleaning of housekeeping equipment safely.
  4. Performs housekeeping functions in accordance with the Infection Control Program and understands the Right To Know Program.
  5. Performs daily cleaning tasks (dusting, mopping, sterilizing, disinfecting, sweeping, etc.) in assigned areas.
  6. Keeps assigned areas stocked with supplies.
  7. Assists in moving residents' furniture and personal belongings.
  8. Keeps furniture in an orderly and neat arrangement.
  9. Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  3. High level of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
  4. Ability to repeatedly push and pull sweepers and housekeeping carts, and lift or carry at least 40 pounds throughout an 8-hour shift.
  5. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, and turn frequently during the shift.
  6. Operates housekeeping and laundry machines, such as floor machines, wet vacs, washers, and dryers.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work on their feet constantly during an 8-hour shift; bend, stoop, twist, and turn regularly. Must be able to lift buckets of water, full trash bags, boxes of supplies, etc. Must handle frequent motions and repeated pushing and pulling involved in using electric floor equipment, wet mops, large brooms, and cleaning carts with water. Must be able to lift and transfer at least 40 pounds.
