Remote Housekeeper (Rotational & Temporary) - Nullagvik Hotel

This Hotel Housekeeper position is responsible for the cleanliness, arrangement, and supply of guest rooms.

Housing can be provided at a daily rate when working in Kotzebue at a discounted rate. This position may be a 2x2, 3x3, or 4x2 rotation. Flight expenses to and from Kotzebue to Anchorage are included.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
• Clean and return rooms to a vacant ready status and/or an occupied clean status, including lighting fixtures, ceilings, vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows, floor, carpets, and bathrooms.
• Replenish guest supplies and amenities as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly housekeeping cart and storage areas.
• Report any discrepancies beyond the scope of the Housekeeping Department to the Housekeeping Manager or Maintenance Department.
• Assist in maintaining other hotel areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries.
• Maintain a guest room inspection rating of 90% or above.
• Assist in general cleaning and carpet care, including changing bedspreads, blankets, mattress pads, and spot cleaning carpets.
• Wear proper uniform at all times as specified in the associate handbook.
• Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company.
• Perform other duties relevant to the department's success as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and callouts.
• Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Six months of hospitality industry or related experience.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Indoor/outdoor environment with occasional exposure to moderate harsh conditions. Moderate noise level. The pace of work is medium. Customer interaction is medium. The environment is a hotel. Constantly standing and walking; occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds; rarely pushing or pulling. No travel required.
