Job summary

The Recovery Village Columbus Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Groveport, OH is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to perform major floor cleaning and refinishing tasks. The role uses commercial vacuums, mops, and other cleaning equipment to maintain cleanliness and support a safe facility.

Schedule: Monday - Friday. Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent and preferably 1 year of housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience or a personal preference in Housekeeping in a health care facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.
• Scrub to remove all soil and all or partial finish from hard surface flooring and refinish to glossy appearance.
• Shampoo carpets and remove spots from carpets.
• Report, as observed, need for repair to equipment, furniture, building, and fixtures.
• Move and arrange furniture.
• Maintain assigned work area and equipment for cleanliness.
• Assist in cleaning emergency spills.
• Show ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
• Demonstrate ability to work with others.
• Adapt to changing situations or work assignments.
• Conform to uniform and dress code, personal hygiene and good grooming.
• Adept in identifying potential problems within the department and seeks management guidance.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Recovery Village Columbus Drug and Alcohol Rehab is a premier treatment facility in the picturesque town of Groveport, Ohio. Our facility is close enough to airports and major roadways for convenience, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Columbus to encourage renewal and relaxation. RVC is a 80-bed facility offers a complete continuum of care, from medical detox and inpatient treatment to outpatient care and aftercare. The Housekeeper is responsible for the major floor cleaning and refinishing functions. He/She will use cleaning devices including commercial vacuum cleaners, twenty-four (24) ounce mop and wringers, and other necessary equipment, tools, products and supplies in accordance with the facilities’ objectives. Maintains and distributes linen inventory and oversees set-up for special functions. Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure the success of the facility by completing the following:

Benefits begin on the 1st day of the month following date of hire.

• Pay: Starting pay $14/hr, based on experience.
