Job summary

BriteLife Recovery is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe spaces for clients and staff in a behavioral health setting.

You will handle cleaning of rooms and common areas, stock restrooms, and report issues promptly while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum two years’ experience with housekeeping.
  • Prior experience working at a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations.

Responsibilities

  • Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
  • Clean and stock restrooms.
  • Notify managers of necessary repairs.
  • Assist guests when necessary.
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times.

What you will be doing?

The housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, and notifying maintenance of any issues. You should be able to lift 25 pounds and have an eye for cleanliness.

What tasks are required?
  • Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
  • Clean and stock restrooms.
  • Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
  • Notify managers of necessary repairs.
  • Collect and dispose of trash.
  • Assist guests when necessary.
  • Keep linen room stocked.
  • Properly clean upholstered furniture.
  • Performs general housekeeping functions.
  • Special Projects as needed.
  • Positively promotes current organization to prospective clients and employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complete annual education requirements.
  • Maintains standards of professional society procedures and ethical behavior.
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
  • Report to work on time and as scheduled.
  • Wear identification while on duty.
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Communicate the mission, ethics and goals of the organization.
What do we need from you?
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum two years’ experience with housekeeping
  • Prior experience working at a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently.
  • Work well unsupervised.
  • Handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with clients.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations.
  • Has no mental, nervous, organic, or functional disease or psychiatric disorder likely to interfere with his/her ability to drive safely (I.E. holding a medical marijuana card.)
