Job summary

Essex Meadows is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness of resident apartments, common areas, and the healthcare center as applicable. The role supports a warm senior living community and requires attention to detail and reliability.

You will join a team in a full-time role with an 8-hour day shift, covering weekends and holidays as needed, in exchange for competitive pay and a full benefits package designed for long-term employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three to six months’ experience in housekeeping or janitorial position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general housekeeping duties in apartments, such as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting of all cleared flat surfaces.
• Performs general housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas as directed by supervisor.
• Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Responsible for performing a variety of housekeeping and laundry functions to maintain an attractive, clean, and comfortable environment to meet the needs of residents.

Our Housekeepers are responsible for the cleanliness and neatness of our resident private apartment homes, common areas throughout the community, and our healthcare center, as applicable.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Housekeeper:
