Job summary

Essex Meadows, part of the Rose Senior Living Carmel family, is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness of resident apartments, common areas, and healthcare spaces in a warm, supportive community in Connecticut. The role offers a full-time 40-hour week and a day shift, with weekends, holidays, and events as needed to support residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Three to six months’ experience in housekeeping or janitorial position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general housekeeping duties in apartments, such as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting of all cleared flat surfaces.
• Performs general housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas as directed by supervisor.
• Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Responsible for performing a variety of housekeeping and laundry functions to maintain an attractive, clean, and comfortable environment to meet the needs of residents.

Our Housekeepers are responsible for the cleanliness and neatness of our resident private apartment homes, common areas throughout the community, and our healthcare center, as applicable.
